You’ve been living under a rock if you’re not familiar with this superbrand, but for the uninitiated, Glanbia plc is an Irish global nutrition group with operations in 32 countries. It has leading market positions in sports nutrition, cheese, dairy ingredients, speciality non-dairy ingredients and vitamin and mineral premixes. Glanbia products are sold or distributed in over 130 countries. Siobhán Talbot serves as CEO of Glanbia plc. As such, she is the second female CEO to head an Irish publicly listed company. She has been called Ireland’s most influential business leader. We think that’s pretty great. Glanbia has a stable of fantastic brands, and they are constantly innovating to ensure they are the top of the market – and we’re proud to help them in their efforts!
- Cartoon Saloon
Cartoon Saloon is an Irish animation film and television studio based in Kilkenny which provides illustration, design, film and TV services. The studio is best known for its animated feature films The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and The Breadwinner. Work from this studio has been nominated for an Academy Award® three times (three times!!), as well as a Golden Globe®, a BAFTA and an Emmy – pretty amazing! The Taxback Group, is a global financial services group with 950 staff worldwide. Headquartered in Kilkenny, it operates 30 offices doing business in 100 countries. Taxback was started as a college business by Terry Clune, helping students and others reclaim tax paid abroad. And anyone who helps get tax back is a complete hero in our eyes! - State Street
A best-kept secret in Kilkenny, State Street Corporation is American financial services and bank holding company headquartered at One Lincoln Street in Boston with operations worldwide. They have a large office here in Kilkenny, and are a significant employer in the city. They are very active at community engagement and support – and are a stalwart at helping local initiatives, including sponsoring the Kilkenny Business Awards. Nice work State Street.
- Merlyn Showering
Merlyn Showering design and craft premium shower enclosures, and deliver them with excellent customer care. Founded in 2,000 by Kilkenny native Michael Hoyne, Merlyn employs 58 staff in Kilkenny – as well as a 16-person sales team in the UK, and nine people in Asia. With revenues in excess of €35 million a year, Merlyn is a true Kilkenny success story. In 2017, they were acquired for £60m by a UK company. We’ve worked with Merlyn on a recent brochure design, and love their approach to their brand – they have a clear vision and understanding of the power of brand – which makes our job easy!
- CDS
CDS Architectural Metalwork specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural metalwork pieces such as staircases, balustrades, balconies, canopies, gates, railings and feature metalwork. Led by Martin Stapleton, this Ballyfoyle based company works on really prestigious projects including Accenture’s Office in Grand Canal and Hoover Building in London. Swoon. Recent winners of The Employer of The Year Awards and the winner in Skills, Development and Training of Staff category at The Kilkenny Chamber Business Awards 2018, CDS is a great advocate for training and apprentice programmes, helping Kilkenny maintain its wealth of skilled craftspeople.

Dunmore deliver complex interior projects for leading international interior designers and their clients in the hospitality industry. They have a highly skilled team of joiners, cabinet makers and metalworkers, who work with architects, interior designs and high-end contractors to deliver exceptional interiors in locations all over the world. We are in love with the level of craft and expertise these guys display in everything they do – their attention to detail is second to none!
